Activities and Adventures

Carnoustie residents enjoy a wide variety of nearby outdoor adventures. Horseback riding along the beach, ocean kayaking or sailing from Princeton Harbor, surfing, biking the Coastal Trail, whale watching, tide pooling at the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, bird watching, or viewing elephant seals at Ano Nuevo State Park are among the everyday activities.

Rugged bluffs, sandy beaches, and ocean vistas stretch for five miles along the coastal trail to the Pillar Point Harbor. Neighboring flower and pumpkin fields beside Highway 92 and Route 1 provide brilliant splashes of color. Redwood forests at nearby Purisima Creek provide an entirely different sense of peace and natural beauty.
